Kindergartens

What are the advantages of European and Asian educational approaches? What does it take to raise creative children with self-esteem?

The Hermann Gundert Society is investigating these questions and is working in an international team to optimize kindergarten concepts. Volunteers from both countries travel to partner kindergartens, report on their experiences and exchange ideas.

Vocational schools

How can almost lost craftsmanship be enriched with digital content?

The Hermann Gundert Society supports in close cooperation with the German-Nepalese qualification initiative setting up a dual training system, teaching trainers and trainees in Nepal soft skills and the German language. Outstanding trainees can complete their training in Germany. The program also promotes exchange, encounters and networking among trainers.

Universities

How do you get creative solutions to research questions?

The Hermann Gundert Society (HGG) links Nepalese and German universities, e.g. the Advanced College of Management and Engineering, and supports the creation of dual curricula. It promotes exchange at student, academic and institutional levels. For example, selected HGG scholarship holders can learn German, pursue research activities during their bachelor's degree in Nepal after a 2-year excellence program and then complete a master's degree or internship in Germany. Our scholarship holders continue to receive our support after arriving in Germany, currently e.g. at the Chemnitz University of Technology .

Research projects

How must a drone be designed to be able to transport waste or support Sherpas in the thin air of Mount Everest? How must a 3D printer be constructed to create something useful from discarded plastic bottles? How can artificial intelligence (AI) be used to detect and help cure eye diseases in rural or mountainous areas without doctors?

Such medical-technical, but also social research questions and projects are worked on jointly by Nepalese and German teams. Market-oriented companies can not only receive a technical development, but also an innovative product with know-how for a successful market launch.
